A Ford Focus driven by a 37-year-old borough resident was heading east on Springfield Avenue when it was struck by a Subaru Forester going south on Summit Street shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Police Captain Joseph Rinke said.
The driver of the Subaru "appeared to fail to stop for stop sign and the vehicles collided in the intersection," said Rinke, the officer in charge of the department.
The impact left the Subaru on it side.
Borough firefighters extricated the Subaru driver, a 34-year-old woman from Paramus.
She and the borough motorist were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, the captain said.
Courthouse Towing removed the vehicles.
